जय महयाल, पिछले कुछ दिनों से मंन बहुत उद्द्वेल्लित था . एक महाशय ने बरबस ही सवाल किया " आप कौन होते हैं " मैंने कहा महाशय मैं मोहयाल ब्राह्मण हूँ I अब उन्होंने एक और सवाल दाग दिया - मोहयाल मतलब? और फिर जैसे ए.के.हंगल साहिब पूछ रहे हों -"इतना सन्नाटा क्यों है भाई?" ऐसा जानिए के जैसे मुझे काटो तो मुझमें खून नहीं I खुद से सवाल ,मिलने जुलने वाले बिरादरान से सवाल की मोहयाल शब्द का अर्थ क्या है कोई तो बता दो ! लेकिन कहीं से भी कोई भी संतोषजनक उत्तर नहीं मिला . मंन बेचैन हो उठा था . महाशय को उत्तर देना ज़रूरी था ! अपनी बिरादरी के कई बुद्धिजीवियों से संपर्क साधा पर लगभग सभी ने इंटरनेट में फैली हुई जानकारी एकत्रित कर के अपना फरमान सुना दिया की भाई ये "महिपाल " शब्द का अपभ्रंश रूप है जिसका अर्थ होता है भूमि का स्वामी, श्री कृष्ण ,राजा, वगेरह वगेरह ! लेकिन दिमाग के कोने में एक कीड़ा काट रहा था की महिपाल से मोहयाल शब्द की उत्त्पत्ति???? नहीं! बात कुछ हज़म नहीं होती! इसी जिज्ञासा के क्रम में विचार सांझे करने शुरू किये .लेकिन हमने ठान लिया था मोहयाल शब्

2nd Lt. Puneet Nath Datt 2nd Lt. Puneet Nath Datt Size: 10 items 2nd Lieutenant Puneet Nath Datt, 1/11 Gorkha Rifles, was a born soldier who belonged to the illustrious Datt family of Mohyals, the militant Brahmin race of India. The Datts derive their lineage from Dronacharya, the military tutor of the Pandava Dynasty. The Mohyals have a chequered history of soldering right from the medieval times, having taken part in the battles of Karbala in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Right up to 1946, there existed a regiment of Mohyals Brahmins, commanded by Lieutenant General Kunhiraman Palat Candeth, PVSM, a retired soldier of yore. Dicky, as he was popularly known, was the son of Late Major Pramod Nath Datt who also retired from the 1/11 Gorkha Rifles. He was the grandson of Late Shri Prem Nath Datt, a leading advocate of Jaipur and the family were permanent residents of Rajasthan. Bhai Sati Das Bhai Sati Das (died 1675) along with his elder brother Bhai Mati Das is one of the greatest martyrs in Sikh history. Bhai Sati Das and his elder brother Bhai Mati Das were followers of ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur . Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das and Bhai Dyal Das were all executed at kotwali(police-station) near the Sunehri Masjid in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi , under the express orders of emperor Aurangzeb . Sikhism Early life Bhai Sati Das was a Mohyal Brahmin [ 1 ] [ 2 ] of the Chhibber clan. He belonged to the village of Karyala, a stronghold of the Chhibbers, in the Jhelum District in Punjab (Pakistan) , about ten kilometres from Chakwal on the road to the Katas Raj Temple Complex. Mahan Singh Mirpuri Sardar Raja Mahan Singh Mirpuri (d. 1844) (also spelled Maan Singh "Mirpura"/"Mirpuria") was a famous General in the kingdom of Maharaja Ranjit Singh , and was the second-in-command to the famous General Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa . He was conferred by Maharaja Ranjit Singh the title of Raja for his conquests of Haripur , Nowshehra and Peshawar . The town of Mansehra derives its name from him. Early life He was born a commoner in Gujranwala , in a Muhiyal family belonging to the Ambral branch of the Bali Clan. He was the grandson of Himmat Singh Bali, and his father Data Ram was a counselor to Sultan Mukkarb Khan, the Gakhar Subedar of Gujrat.
